Job summary

SnapCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Laurel Highlands, PA area to cover night shifts in a specialty hospital focused on critical illness and rehabilitation. The role emphasizes timely nursing assessments, individualized care plans, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of bedside experience, and must hold BLS and ACLS certifications prior to the first shift.

Qualifications

• Two years of bedside clinical experience (minimum)
• BLS certification required before first shift
• ACLS certification required before first shift

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient assessments
• Provide patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs on assigned unit
• Utilize the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Initiate discharge planning from the day of admission and provide patient teaching in anticipation of discharge
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to attending physician and Charge Nurse
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and/or orientees
• Assume charge responsibility following orientation period as requested
