Job summary
Vail Health in Colorado is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Family Birth Center to care for antepartum, labor, and postpartum patients in a Level II nursery. You will deliver family-centered care, collaborate with obstetric providers, and participate in high-autonomy practice with 24/7 on-call support.
Requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience, Colorado RN license, BLS, NRP, ACLS, and an Associate Degree in Nursing.
Qualifications
- One year of clinical nursing experience.
- Active Colorado Registered Nurse license.
- BLS, NRP and ACLS certifications required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (or higher) required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care and safety.
- Triage patient requests for services.
- Educate patients to support planned care.
- Delegate care per Colorado statutes.
- Demonstrate competent assessment and critical thinking.
- Handle high telephone volume for medications and information.
- Administer medications and assist procedures with safety.
- Coordinate care with providers and teams to ensure quality.
- Deliver patient-centered care with HIPAA compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
