Job summary

Vail Health in Colorado is seeking a dedicated RN to join our Family Birth Center team. You will care for antepartum and laboring patients through delivery, recovery and postpartum, including well newborn and Level II nursery, delivering family-centered care with safety and compassion.

Requirements include one year of clinical experience, CO RN license, Associate Degree in Nursing, and BLS/NRP/ACLS certifications. This PRN/POOL position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience required.
• State of Colorado Registered Nurse license required.
• NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily patient flow to optimize care, safety and satisfaction.
• Triage incoming patient requests for services.
• Educates patients to facilitate plan of care and informed choices.
• Delegates care per Colorado statute and patient needs.
• Performs assessments with prioritization and critical thinking.
• Handles high telephone volume for medications, information and assistance.
• Administers medications and assists in procedures following safety guidelines.
• Coordinates patient care with physicians and teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Delivers Relationship‑Based Care and advocates for patient preferences.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains HIPAA compliance.
