Job summary

LAKE REGION HEALTHCARE CORPORATION is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care in our Women’s and Children’s Health unit. The role uses the nursing process to plan, deliver, and coordinate care for patients, families, and the care team in a busy Level II nursery environment.

We value teamwork, strong communication, and initiative. Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical or Labor & Delivery experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing with current Minnesota licensure.
• PALS and STABLE certifications required, or to be obtained within one year.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification must be renewed every 5 years.
• CPR certification for Healthcare Provider required upon hire or within 6 months.
• NRP certification at hire or within 6 months.
• Fetal Heart Monitoring courses required/preferred with progression milestones.
• Six months of medical/surgical experience preferred; obstetric/nursery/pediatric experience preferred.
• New grads may be considered with orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process to plan, deliver and evaluate care.
• Supervise patient care and coordinate with the care team.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Monitor obstetric/nursery patients and respond to changes in condition as needed.
