Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor and Delivery Department to extend compassionate care within our faith-based mission. The role emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, mentoring staff, and applying evidence-based practice.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, Maryland RN licensure, NCLEX, BLS, and NRP, with at least one year of RN experience and a willingness to work nights on a 36-hour weekly

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Current Maryland state nursing license.
• Active BLS certification.
• NRP required.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Demonstrate professionalism and ANA standards of practice.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct literature searches and apply findings to practice.
