Job summary

Adventist Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor & Delivery Unit in Silver Spring, MD. The role supports compassionate care and mentoring in a dynamic healthcare environment.

The position is full-time with a night shift (6:45pm - 7:15am). Education required is a nursing degree with at least 1 year RN experience and Maryland licensure. BLS and specialty certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly to maximize efficiency.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care.
