Job summary
American Geriatrics Society is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum in Evanston, IL. Night shifts and weekend requirements apply per level agreement. Travel limited to Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals, with full-time/part-time options.
Requirements include IL RN licensure, NLN-accredited program completion, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certification, and 2+ years in acute labor & delivery/postpartum care. Competitive premium pay and incentive opportunities offered.
Qualifications
- Current IL nursing licensure required.
- Graduate of NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Certification: BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP for HC provider required.
- At least two years of recent acute care Labor & Delivery/postpartum experience.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients.
- Use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Guide assigned unlicensed personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
- Communicate with the health-care team to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity.
