Job summary

Endocrine News is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum care in Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals. Night shifts available (2300-0730 and 1900-0730) with weekend/holiday requirements per level agreement.

Per Diem full or part time, travel limited to Evanston and Highland Park Hospital. Minimum two years recent acute care L&D/postpartum experience required; IL licensure, NLN-accredited program, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certification are required.

Qualifications

• Current IL RN licensure is required.
• NLN-accredited nursing program completion required; BSN preferred.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certification for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients.
• Use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
• Communicate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
• Promote safety and high-quality patient experience.

Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Per Diem, Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery and postpartum
• Evanston and Highland Park Hospitals
• Per Diem (Full Time/Part Time)
• Night shift 2300-0730 and 1900-0730; weekend and holiday requirements per level agreement
• Per Diem Commitment Level: Level 1: 32-72 hrs. or Level 2: 73-110 hrs. or Level 3: 111-144 hrs. per 6-week schedule
• Required Travel: Evanston and Highland Hospital

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for labor and delivery and postpartum patients
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP Certification for the Healthcare Provider required. (AHA)
• Experience: A minimum two years of recent acute care clinical experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience required
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience required
