Job summary

OhioHealth in Ohio seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide general nursing care to patients and families across the continuum in a 24/7 Labor and Delivery Unit. The RN is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates tasks to LPNs and UAPs per state regulations.

The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care within a high reliability organization, focusing on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• BSN required after 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assessment/Diagnosis: perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments.
• Outcomes Identification/Planning: document planned interventions to meet patient needs.
• Implementation/Evaluation: evaluate responses and revise the care plan with the multidisciplinary team.
• Leadership: participate in process improvements to improve quality, safety and satisfaction.
• Operations: contribute to the efficient operation of the care delivery.
