Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide general nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery Unit 1. The role supports a 24-hour operation with a Day shift and collaborative patient care within a high-reliability framework.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, as well as delegation of tasks to LPNs and UAPs per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or current Registered Nurse license in good standing with a multi-state compact state.
• BLS certification
• BSN required at 5 years of employment

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings.
• Delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care provided to assigned patients.
• Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and/or individual.
• Participates in process improvement activities to achieve clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
