Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Waxahachie is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery, nights, to support laboring and postpartum patients with a focus on evidence-based care and safety. The unit emphasizes Magnet-recognized nursing excellence and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities include continuous fetal monitoring, assisting in vaginal and surgical deliveries, and participating in on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license.
• Strong experience with fetal monitoring and laboring patients.
• Preferred: Tri age nurse competency
• Preferred: Circulator nurse experience
• Preferred: RNC-OB certification
• Preferred: NRP certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Preferred: “Baby catcher”/delivery experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to laboring and postpartum patients.
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret results accurately.
• Support vaginal and surgical deliveries in collaboration with providers.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based care in both labor and triage settings
