Oceans Healthcare is seeking an Intake Clinician to manage admission inquiries, gather necessary information, and refer unsuitable cases. You will review admissions daily, complete Level of Care assessments, and collaborate with providers to ensure accurate, compliant entries.

Excellent communication and HIPAA compliance are essential in this role. You will liaise with referral sources, community partners, patients, and internal teams to uphold the hospital's mission of exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Must understand admission criteria for varying levels of care and medications.
• Must possess interpersonal skills to develop rapport with patients and referral sources.
• Must assess and interpret data to identify patient needs and referrals.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness and family dynamics.
• Must have CPR certification and de-escalation training.

Responsibilities

• Admissions Process: review packets, obtain prior authorizations, and present clinical criteria.
• Communication: ensure timely information flow and regulatory compliance.
• Customer Focus: interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Documentation: complete admission documentation in EMR and internal systems.
