Job summary

Jobtome is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room - SRMC in New Mexico for a full-time night shift. The role requires a program graduate with at least 2 years of direct nursing experience; BLS/CPR credentials are required and NM RN licensure is expected.

Responsibilities include staff assignment, clinical leadership, quality improvement participation, and ensuring patient safety and timely care across age groups from neonate to geriatric.

Qualifications

• Essential: Program Graduate.
• Nonessential: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Experience: 2 years directly related experience.
• Nonessential: Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.

Responsibilities

• STRATEGIC INITIATIVE - Actively participate in nursing quality improvement and engagement activities.
• SHARED GOVERNANCE - Support UNMH shared governance model.
• INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT - Use independent judgment to assign nursing staff to patients.
• ASSIGNMENT - Designate shift and schedule assignments per plan of care.
• ACCOUNTABILITY - Supervise staff delivering patient care and ensure adherence to standards.
• PATIENT CARE - Deliver safe direct care to an assigned patient group.
• CARE PLAN - Implement and document individualized care plans with age-appropriate considerations.
• PATIENT SAFETY - Uphold patient safety policies and participate in safety initiatives.
