Job summary

Jobtome is seeking a Registered Nurse for the UPC Inpatient/Geriatrics department in New Mexico. The role involves providing professional nursing care in a mental health/psychiatric setting, designing care plans, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies.

You may work with pediatric to geriatric patients and support family education and advocacy. The position requires a nursing program graduate and a Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate credential, with bilingual capabilities and at least 1

Qualifications

Education requirements include a program graduate and a bachelor’s degree.
Nationally accredited nursing graduate is essential.
Nursing as a field is nonessential.
Bilingual English and multiple Native languages; at least 1 year directly related experience.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for psychiatric patients.
Design and implement nursing care plans and assist in overall care planning.
Administer medications and coordinate treatments; may lead therapy or education sessions.
Chart patient status, document data, and communicate with physicians and staff.
Perform nursing intakes, obtain specimens, and assist with labs as needed.
Educate patients and families on treatments and safety measures; advocate for patients.
Facilitate communication among physicians, staff, patients, and families; coordinate with service providers.
Follow departmental policies, safety standards, and continuous quality improvement.
Participate in orientation and preceptor activities for new staff; contribute to program development.
Assist with tests, procedures, and emergency measures as required.
