RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Psychiatric Inpatient program at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care, collaborates with physicians, and supports safety and quality through documentation and teamwork.

The role requires an active NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS within six months, and at least one year in behavioral health. Day shift, 7a–7:30p, 26.8 hours weekly with alternating weekends; competitive benefits and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS within six months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• At least one year of Behavioral Health Nursing; Med/Surg or Telemetry experience preferred; psychiatric certifications encouraged.
• EMR proficiency with EPIC or similar systems; strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes to intervene early.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians, supporting timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly to enable informed care decisions.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
