RWJBarnabas Health's Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Nursing B6 Step Down unit in Newark, NJ. This full-time, night-shift position offers growth in a collaborative, safety-focused environment, with a pay range of $49.28–$67.04 per hour for NJ-employed RNs.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, safe medication administration, EMR documentation (EPIC), interdisciplinary rounds, and patient/family education.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Experience in patient care preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes, intervening early as needed.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparedness for next care steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to enhance communication and transitions of care.
