Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). You will deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adults with complex medical and cardiac conditions requiring higher monitoring.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans in a 40-bed IMCU. The position involves 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), full-time hours (36 per week), and self-scheduling.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required or obtainable within 30 days of starting.
• RN license required.
• Grad of an Accredited Program in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed clinical assessments for adult patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per standards of care.
• Document care in the electronic medical record accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications and care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional team to coordinate care.
• Maintain patient safety and respond to changes in condition promptly.
