Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the 40-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). You will deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adults with complex cardiac conditions who require higher monitoring, develop care plans, administer meds, and collaborate with the care team to achieve positive outcomes.

You'll assess patients, document thoroughly, and follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act while supporting a strong, interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.

Responsibilities

• As an RN, conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
• Provide care to adult patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions.
• Closely monitor patients and recognize changes in condition, escalating concerns as needed.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments per standards of care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing healthcare needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately based on patient condition and scope of practice.
