Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 40-bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). You will provide safe, compassionate care to adults with complex medical and cardiac conditions requiring higher monitoring.

Responsibilities include detailed assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient and family education, and collaboration with physicians and the care team to promote positive outcomes. Night shifts 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing
• RN license
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of start

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and develop care plans
• Provide care to adults with complex medical and cardiac conditions
• Monitor patients and escalate changes to ensure safety
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, meds, and care needs
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate plans of care
• Document in electronic medical records
• Maintain professional, ethical care and team communication
