Job summary

Haven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a PRN RN House Supervisor for night shifts (7p-7a). The role oversees all patient care areas, ensures staffing plans, and provides clinical leadership consistent with hospital policies and psychiatric nursing standards.

The Nurse Supervisor directs milieu management, reviews patient care, and maintains safe medication administration with documentation per Joint Commission standards. Prior psychiatric nursing experience is required.

• Must have psychiatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient care requirements on each unit by making rounds throughout all areas of the hospital.
• Ensure the departmental staffing plans are implemented appropriately.
• Serve as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems.
• Assist staff to efficiently utilize staffing and other resources to meet patient care requirements.
• Provide for immediate follow-up, documentation and communication of incidents to the appropriate manager and director.
• Administer medications as prescribed safely; provide education on prescribed medications; recognize signs of adverse drug reactions.
• Reviews, revises, and updates medical records within facility guidelines and timeframes.
