Job summary

Navarro Regional Hospital in Texas seeks a Supervisor, House - RN to lead assigned shifts, oversee patient flow, and ensure high-quality, safe patient care. You will act as the on-call administrative contact during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, coordinating staffing and resources as needed.

You will supervise nursing staff, ensure policy compliance, and respond to emergencies with strong communication to staff, patients, and families while maintaining bed utilization and safety

Qualifications

• RN licensure and BLS/ACLS certifications are required.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to navigate clinical and administrative challenges.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital operations during assigned shifts and ensure adequate staffing.
• Monitor census, admissions, discharges, and transfers for bed utilization.
• Serve as administrative point of contact during non-business hours.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate resources for safe, quality care.
• Act as incident commander in disaster situations until relieved by a senior leader.
• Supervise nursing staff and provide clinical guidance and delegation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Handle patient and family inquiries professionally and resolve issues.
• Complete and validate midnight census and conduct regular rounds.
• Facilitate communication between staff, physicians, and administration.
