Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to ensure appropriate delivery of nursing care.
• Manages staffing to ensure proper coverage per designates staff/patient ratios.
• Supervises staff nurses and psychiatric care specialists during assigned shift, including disciplinary actions.
• Coordinates with Nurse Unit Manager to develop unit therapeutic programs.
• Ensures admission/discharge processes follow policies and procedures.
