Havenwyck Hospital in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks a Clinical House Supervisor (RN) for 12‑hour day shifts on a full-time basis. The role oversees nursing staff, ensures quality patient care, and collaborates with unit management on therapeutic programs.

Requires Michigan RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and psychiatric/management experience. The supervisor provides staff coverage, handles admissions, and enforces policies while coordinating with physicians and the Nurse Unit Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current status as a registered nurse in the State of Michigan.
• Three to five years of psychiatric experience with 1–2 years of management.
• Current BLS/CPR certification and proficiency in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
• In good standing for internal transfers and continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to ensure appropriate nursing care delivery.
• Adjusts staffing to ensure proper coverage per shift.
• Replaces staff when scheduled personnel are unable to work.
• Reports to appropriate administrators for follow-up on issues.
• Monitors and evaluates care; provides supervision to staff on shift.
• Collaborates on therapeutic programming with Nurse Unit Manager.
• Ensures admission chart auditing for quality and standards.
• Oversees admissions per policies; handles emergencies per guidelines.
• Assists/oversees restraints or seclusion in emergencies with physician orders.
• Directs emergency responses and coordinates with other units.
• Reviews intake information with Referral Coordinator for timely processes.
• Investigates incidents and reports findings to senior nursing leadership.
