Job summary

The House Supervisor (RN) at Havenwyck Hospital is responsible for quality nursing care and the overall supervision of nursing staff on the designated shift, including admissions, staffing adjustments with the Nurse Unit Manager, and disciplinary actions in the manager's absence.

This 12‑hour night shift requires leadership during emergencies, coordination with the Intake Referral Coordinator, and adherence to hospital policies to ensure patient safety and staff development within a Joint

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current Michigan RN license.
• 3–5 years psychiatric experience with 1–2 years of management.
• Current BLS/CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification.
• In good standing for internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Use nursing process to ensure appropriate nursing care.
• Adjust staffing to ensure proper coverage with Nurse Unit Manager.
• Replace staff scheduled but unable to work.
• Supervise staff nurses and psychiatric care specialists on shift.
• Direct admissions and ensure policy adherence during shift.
• Oversee emergencies and coordinate with leadership per policy.
