Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital, a UHS facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan, is seeking a House Supervisor (RN) to ensure quality nursing care and overall supervision for a night shift. This leadership role oversees admissions, staffing, and policy compliance within a busy psychiatric unit.

The House Supervisor collaborates with the Nurse Unit Manager to develop therapeutic programs, oversees staff performance, and ensures high standards of patient care and safety across the shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license in Michigan.
• 3–5 years psychiatric experience with 1–2 years of management experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification; proficient in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
• Employee must be in good standing for internal transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care delivery using the nursing process.
• Oversee nursing staff and coverage per shift in collaboration with Nurse Unit Manager.
• Replace staff when scheduled but unable to work.
• Report issues to appropriate administrators for follow-up.
• Direct activities in emergencies and ensure admission policies are followed.
