Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One (1) year prior experience as a Supervisor preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years acute care nursing experience
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes administrative responsibility for management of all department service functions on shift.
• Makes rounds to monitor delivery of care and directs patient care activities as needed.
• Supervises and communicates with staff house-wide and extends administrative scope hospital-wide as needed.
• Ensures efficient operations and patient flow throughout the hospital.
• Directly provides patient care when necessary and coordinates after-hours staffing.

Education

Registered Nurse license

BSN preferred

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
