Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL is seeking a House Supervisor RN for nights (7pm–7am) on a full-time basis. The Nurse will assume administrative responsibility for department service functions, monitor care delivery, supervise staff, and maintain hospital operations.

Requires active RN license, BLS and ACLS upon hire, with BSN preferred and prior supervisory experience. Strong acute care nursing background and ability to manage after-hours scheduling and patient flow

Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification at hire and current.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and current.
• One year prior supervisor experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years acute care nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes administrative responsibility for department service functions on shift.
• Performs rounds to monitor care delivery and direct patient care activities as needed.
• Supervises staff house-wide and coordinates with hospital administration.
• Ensures efficient operations and patient flow across the hospital.
• Assists with scheduling after-hours procedures and standby staff.
• Supports patient/family experience with explanations of hospital policies.
