Job summary
Odessa Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for High Risk Labor & Delivery on the night shift (7pm–7am). Relocation assistance is available, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered with an 18‑month commitment.
The role involves direct nursing care for high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced antepartum unit. Responsibilities include monitoring maternal/fetal status, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians to develop care plans.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- BLS certification.
- NRP and STABLE certification.
- COAP and Suicide Prevention course.
- ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients in antepartum unit.
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, administer medications, perform interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families about pregnancy complications and self-care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR.
- Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency protocols.
- Support patients emotionally during prolonged hospital stays or complex pregnancies.
