Job summary

Big Bend Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Women’s Services in the Labor & Delivery Unit. The role requires L&D experience, Texas RN licensure, and an associate degree with a preference for a BSN.

Night shift hours are 6:30pm–6:30am, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered with an 18-month commitment. You will evaluate patients, assist physicians, administer medications, and educate families to promote recovery and independence within the unit.

Qualifications

Labor & Delivery experience required.
Requires an associate's degree and is certified as a registered nurse.
Prefer bachelor's degree in nursing.
Must have a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
Performs medications administration within RN scope of practice.
Promotes patients' independence by educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks and shows creativity and latitude.
Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
