The role involves direct nursing care for high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced antepartum unit. Responsibilities include monitoring maternal/fetal status, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians to develop care plans.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
• BLS certification.
• NRP and STABLE certification.
• COAP and Suicide Prevention course.
• ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients in antepartum unit.
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, administer medications, perform interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about pregnancy complications and self-care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency protocols.
• Support patients emotionally during prolonged hospital stays or complex pregnancies.
