Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (Texas RN license required).
• BLS certification is required.
• NRP and STABLE certifications required.
• COAP course and Suicide Prevention training required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients in the antepartum unit.
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, administer medications, and perform interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about pregnancy complications, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency protocols.
• Support patients emotionally and psychologically during prolonged hospital stays or complex pregnancies.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
