Job summary

Odessa Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for High Risk Labor & Delivery on day shift to provide direct care for high-risk obstetric patients. The role includes 12-hour day shifts (7am-7pm), and offers a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 along with relocation assistance.

You will monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, educate families, and document care in the EMR while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• > Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
• • BLS certification.
• • NRP and STABLE certification.
• • COAP and Suicide Prevention course.
• • ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
• • Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• > Provide direct nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients in the antepartum unit.
• < Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions.
• < Collaborate with physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• < Educate patients and families about pregnancy complications, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• < Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• < Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate emergency protocols.
• < Support patients emotionally and psychologically during prolonged hospital stays or complex pregnancies.
• < Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
