Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide general nursing care to patients and families across the continuum of care in our 24/7 units. The RN is accountable to the Ohio Board of Nursing and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, and delegating tasks to LPNs and UAPs while contributing to high reliability, safety, and quality in the department.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (BSN required after 5 years of employment).
• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to patients and families in diverse, acute health care settings.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care provided to assigned patients.
• Delegate nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
• Actively participates in process improvement and safety as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO).
