White Oak Medical Center in Maryland seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Heart and Vascular Unit to join our mission of extending compassionate care through physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As an RN, you will provide patient education, mentor Level I staff, and develop care plans. This 36-hour/week night shift role offers strong benefits and opportunities to apply evidence-based practice in a faith-based, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing NCLEX exam.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Current Maryland State nursing license.
• Active BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role model to Level I nurses and support best practices.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change based on evidence.
