Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, is seeking an experienced Patient Care Technician for the Heart and Vascular Unit to support compassionate, patient-centered care.

As a PCT, you will take vital signs, assist with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and help maintain a safe and efficient care environment. Night shifts, full-time schedule, and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and successful completion of the CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA License required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Effective command of English language (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to meet job requirements of lifting, bending and turning.
• Experience in acute care clinical setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the Registered Nurse; receive report from the RN.
• Ensure a culture of safety and maintain equipment and work areas.
• Identify and report malfunctioning/expired equipment and supplies.
• Participate in department and organizational education programs, meetings, and committees.
