Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool at RWJ Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, NJ. This full-time night-shift role offers a consistent 36 hours per week with rotating weekends and holidays.

The RN will implement and evaluate plans of care, conduct assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. Active NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS, and EMR proficiency (EPIC) are required.

Qualifications

• The candidate must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification are required.
• ASN or Nursing diploma is required; BSN is strongly preferred.
• At least 1 year of acute care experience; Med/surg Tele experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate a plan of care for patients undergoing surgery or procedures.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and support teamwork.
