Job summary

Rumford Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Medical-Surgical Unit. The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered care during night shifts in a part-time capacity, with responsibility for assessments, treatments, and collaborative care with the interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a valid RN license, BLS certification, and preferably ACLS and BSN, with prior acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate on hire and maintain.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days on hire and maintain preferred.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments per orders and policies.
• Coordinate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other team members.
• Assist with procedures, diagnostics, patient stabilization, and department-specific interventions.
• Operate and monitor clinical equipment appropriate to the department.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, plans, and discharge.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
