Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Rumford Hospital in Maine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a part-time night shift.

You will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, perform assessments, plan and evaluate care, and collaborate with physicians and bedside teams.

A strong candidate will hold an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and at least one year in acute care; a BSN is preferred. Sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Facility-specific requirements: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current; emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months; NRP 90 days; TNNC within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in Telemetry.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
