Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center seeks an experienced RN to join the Nursing Float Pool in Jersey City, NJ. This part-time, hourly role covers night shifts and requires adaptability across units.

The RN will provide telemetry/medical-surgical care, work with a multidisciplinary team, and comply with state nursing standards while delivering safe, compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years Telemetry/Medical-Surgical experience; intermediate care & ventilator experience preferred
• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across populations in the float pool, including trauma, neurology, cardiology and orthopedics
• Collaborate with medical staff to deliver high-quality patient care
• Adhere to NJ State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

Skills

Telemetry/Medical-Surgical experience

Float pool nursing

Education

Active NJ RN License

BLS certification (AHA)

Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

Graduate from accredited nursing school
