Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring for a licensed RN to work a 7p–7a night shift in the Emergency/Med-Surg area. The role uses the nursing process from admission to discharge and offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus for external hires. Holidays and every third weekend are scheduled; the position is full-time with a 12-hour shift.

A union affiliation with MNA is noted. Current MA nursing licensure and BLS are required; ACLS preferred. BSN degree is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the nursing discipline.
• Experience applying nursing processes across patient populations.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Administers medications and supports treatments and procedures.
• Develops and coordinates individualized plans of care including discharge planning.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and staff development.
