Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night shift (7p - 7:30a) in Telemetry and Emergency Department. The role emphasizes safe patient care, clinical assessment, and collaboration with physicians to monitor patient status.

The position requires active state RN licensure, BLS/ALS/PALS (or ENPC) credentials, and strong knowledge of EMTALA regulations. A BSN is preferred, with excellent teamwork in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ALS certification required within 30 days and maintained.
• PALS certification and/or ENPC within 60 days and maintained.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry and Emergency Department.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality while complying with EMTALA regulations.
