St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe patient care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit using the nursing process. The role includes directing patient/family teaching and guiding other nursing staff.

You will communicate with physicians about changes in clinical condition, monitoring results, and treatment responses, and must respond rapidly to evolving situations on night shifts.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license required.
• BLS certificate required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe patient care within the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the physician, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment response.
