Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, coordinate discharge planning, administer medications, and collaborate with the health care team.

Requires Massachusetts licensure, completion of an accredited nursing program, BLS (ACLS as required), and unit certifications. A signing bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts licensure and registration.
• Completion of an accredited school of nursing program.
• BLS is required for every RN; ACLS if current and unit-specific certifications may apply.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from admission to discharge.
• Conducts patient assessments and reassessments per procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care within the assigned setting.
• Administers medications and supportive therapies per policy and procedure.
• Participates in quality improvement and nursing governance.
