Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate patient care during PM shift (8 p.m.–8 a.m.) in Birmingham, AL. You will apply the nursing process to promote health, prevent illness, assess needs, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to deliver safe, cost-effective care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN license, BLS, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as an RN by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel individuals in health promotion and illness prevention.
• Delegate, coordinate and manage nursing care in collaboration with the health care team and patient/family.
