Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, seeks an experienced registered nurse for full-time evening shifts (8 p.m.–8 a.m.). You will deliver patient care using the nursing process, counsel patients, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to promote health and prevent illness.

Requires an accredited nursing program graduate, RN license in AL or eligibility, BLS certification, and likely ACLS/PALS depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license in AL or eligibility required; BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to promote health and prevent illness through education and care.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, podiatrists, nurses, and other team members to deliver timely, cost-effective patient care.
