Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is hiring a registered nurse for full-time, night shift (7 p.m.–7 a.m.). You will deliver patient care, teach health practices, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote health and prevent illness.

Requires RN licensure and BLS; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit. Eligible employees gain access to strong educational support, generous PTO, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license by the Alabama Board of Nursing required or eligible.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS and/or PALS may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to promote health and prevent illness.
• Coordinate and manage nursing care for patients and families.
• Deliver patient care in collaboration with the health care team and licensed physicians.
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive care.
