Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a permanent night shift position in Connecticut. The role provides holistic, high-quality nursing care to patients and families within a designated unit, applying the nursing process and coordinating care under the Unit Manager.

This is a 36-hour, three 12-hour shift schedule, with every third weekend and alternating holidays. Qualifications include an active CT RN license, ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• ASN Required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.
• Maternal/Newborn experience preferred.
• One year nursing experience required; previous maternity experience preferred.
• Experience in Women's Health or postoperative care desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families and/or others within a unit or service area.
• Applies the nursing process within the organization's Framework for Professional Practice.
• Delegates and supervises work appropriately and reports to Unit Manager.
