Job summary

Hartford Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, is seeking a registered nurse to provide holistic and cost-effective care in a maternity-focused unit. You will apply the nursing process within our professional framework, delegate tasks appropriately, and report to the Unit Manager.

The role requires active CT RN licensure, ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS certification prior to hire. Maternal/newborn and women’s health/postoperative care experience are favored.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• ASN and BSN notes: ASN required, BSN preferred.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association is required before hire.
• Maternal/Newborn experience preferred.
• One year of nursing experience required; maternity experience preferred.
• Experience in Women's Health or postoperative care is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients and families.
• Apply the nursing process within the organization's Framework for Professional Practice.
