Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide holistic, quality care to patients and families in our maternity/postpartum unit. You will apply the nursing process within our professional practice framework and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, cost-effective care.

The ideal candidate holds a Connecticut RN license (ASN required, BSN preferred) and BLS certification prior to hire.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License required.
• ASN degree required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.
• Maternal/Newborn experience preferred.
• One year of nursing experience required; maternity/postoperative care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families within unit/service.
• Applies the nursing process within the organization's Framework for Professional Practice.
• Delegates and supervises work appropriately; reports to Unit Manager.
