Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide holistic, quality and cost‑effective care for patients and families within the maternity/postpartum setting. The role requires an active Connecticut RN license and a solid foundation in nursing practice.

This 36‑hour per week, permanent night shift (3×12 hours) includes every third weekend and every other holiday. BLS certification is required before hire; maternal/newborn experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Connecticut RN license required.
• ASN from accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required prior to hire.
• Maternal/Newborn experience preferred.
• One year nursing experience required; maternity experience preferred.
• Experience in Women's Health or postoperative care desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, quality nursing care for patients and families.
• Apply nursing process within the organization’s Framework for Professional Practice.
• Delegate and supervise care as clinically competent; report to Unit Manager.
